ANON-a Commanding Officer

"The single most life changing course I and many of my soldiers have ever been on."

ANON
"It's opened up a chink of light at the end of a very dark tunnel giving me a hint of hope that things can get better using these simple 'life tools".

“Swansea”
"I arrived at the course as a sceptic I didn't think the course could help me as I already felt 'normal'. In reality what the course has done for me is dramatically improve my 'normal'!"

Capt Paul Hands

RSM 11 EOD Regt 2011 - 2014

RSM EOD & Search Task Force HERRICK 18

11 EOD Regt Unit Welfare Officer 2014 – 2017

“I first met Lizzy and her team when the ‘Normalisation breaks’ initiative was set up for all EOD teams returning from HERRICK tours.  The feedback I received from all those that attended was always outstanding and 100% positive, especially from those that felt ‘they didn’t need it’.  On return from HERRICK 18, I attended the normalisation break as a ‘customer’ and found it absolutely fit for role, it was key to my own personal post tour normalisation.

After the success of normalisation breaks it was obvious to the Chain of Command at 11 EOD Regiment RLC that the momentum with Mental Health awareness training needed to be at the very least maintained,  this was coupled with the rise of the UK terror threat that saw members of the Regiment dealing with particularly traumatic experiences, including the Manchester bombing.   This saw the introduction of the ‘Dashboard Cse’ which concentrated on offering skills for calm and clarity within the EOD and Search Task Force.

The Dashboard Cse was a huge success and I witnessed tangible changes in attitude and MH understanding from Soldiers and Officers that attended. As the Welfare Officer at the time this course was an invaluable asset available to myself when dealing with those suffering with Mental Health related illnesses, contrary to popular belief, many of these MH issues were not due to Operational deployments.  I am fully confident that this course improved the Operational Capability of 11 EOD Regt by ensuring our people treated mental health just as important as their physical health, the course helped both those in a personal capacity or for awareness as a commander, at any level.”

“Tenko”
"I have known that I need to get a grip of myself and move forward for some time. I had drifted away from myself and couldn't find the start line. This week has reset my internal mechanism and I have already started on the road to recovery."

ANON
"Hope, belonging, confidence"

ANON-a Commanding Officer

"Hugely impactful.  It would be difficult to overstate the effect Lizzy had on my team.  In an approachable, inclusive and overwhelmingly positive manner she provided coaching, mindfulness and stress management training to a full spectrum of staff.  All benefited.  Instructors used what they learned to assist students in the development of their own mental resilience, leaders used their skills to coach and mentor their staff, all learned how to recognise, understand and cope with stress in themselves and others.  All felt invested in and from a management perspective my team became more resilient and work outputs demonstrably improved."

 Carl
"Taught me to drop the mush for society and be honest and true to myself and others."

Ryan
"Ability to talk about things in my life I normally wouldn't talk about. A sense of not being alone and the only one struggling"

"Melanie Moughton- CEO, Felix Fund

I have worked with Lizzy for many years now, through her work with Felix Fund, and she has always shown a real passion about helping the Armed Forces. Her drive, determination and energy to help repair everyone she meets is quite inspirational. All who meet her find themselves opening up in a way they probably hadn't realised they needed. Lizzy is the most

empathetic, tactile and energised person I have ever met. "

Lee
"This course gave me the confidence to open up about my personal problems so that I could make peace with them."

Marc
"Found a way to deal with stress and that it's ok to talk about your feelings and not bottle stuff up.
The course was eye opening to the fact I'm not the only person in the EOD community going through life problems. Brilliant environment to be in and I will take away tools to aid me in keeping cool in situations I would generally lash out in some form."

Steve
"I gained perspective and that I wasn't the only one going through difficult times."
